Police Patrols

Our local Police Community Support Officers are now patrolling the Silvery Sands area on a regular basis. Their schedule will vary depending on priorities of course however the good news is that because of increased funding, their team has tripled from three to nine members. This means that they are more likely to be able to effectively respond to ongoing situations such as occured last week which resulted in the apprehending of two 'catapult' youths.

Allan Bushnell (16904 PCSO) has expressed gratitude to members of our community who were involved and instrumental in that action. He is very supportive of our neighbourhood walkabouts and general awareness of the community with regard to monitoring undesirable behaviour. He and his colleagues are very approachable so if you see them, have a chat.

Action to be taken if you witness a situation such as catapulting birds and cats, or any other seriously bad behaviour - CALL 999. This will result in an immediate response assuming there is no higher priority incident ongoing.

For anything other than ongoing incidents - CALL 101
